I am listening pretty much non stop to Donna Summer's version of Could It Be Magic. It's almost sleaze music that was played in the clubs in the seventies as the drugs were wearing off and the poppers had been used up in the late hours. Just some casual but emotional disco. I love Donna Summer's voice and this song is sex on disco.
Now it's a few days before Xmas, I've started watching The Man Who Came To Dinner my almost favourite Xmas movie. Well Xmas is only a small part of the movie, Bette Davis is the big part in a small role expanded for a star of her stature.
Last night I hit the gym with my trainer and it was DEAD. Only the hardcore were working and I was one of them. Who'd have thought a year ago when I'd almost given up the gym that I'd be kicking up my heels and doing pressups into squats in the gym 3 days before Xmas?! I have planned in a few sessions between Xmas and New Year because I know it's going to be hellish in January when everyone tries to lose that Xmas weight. I've been no angel with the diet the past few weeks but enjoyed it last night getting into the swing of things and walking away dazed and battered in a stranger sado-masochistic way!
So apart from Donna, Bette and the gym, I did manage to watch another great movie for Xmas - Gremlins. I love love love this film. It's hilarious and those fucking Gremlins get me laughing every time. Seeing them gamble and smoke in the bar and then sing along to Snow White in the movie theatre had me in stitches last night and hopefully it sets up for a fun Xmas period, not least because one of my friends is expecting her first baby. Her cunt better pop pronto before Xmas day!

That Donna Summer track is brilliant, isn't it? It's like having chocolate poured over you.
