HBO took a chance as did the main star - the show was of course 'Sex and the City'.
It's daring language and even more daring content made it an instant hit with viewers and critics. The ensemble cast of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon hit a nerve with women worldwide. From funky spunk, affairs, bondage, vibrators, testicular cancer, abortion, vagina painting to 2 dollar tranny hookers - this show was beyond fabulous. It tied up a year ago at the bequest of Sarah Jessica Parker who felt that the show had run it's course. The show finished whilst on top and will be remembered for it's racy storylines and even more fantastic fabulous fashions and styles!!

I wasn't really a fan of it, but idid wath every once in a while. My favorite character was peobably Miranda, since she's most like me. Jaded, and a quite sarcastic.
Loathed it - usual US schmaltz livened up with a few fanny gags. Desperate housewives on the other hand...
