Julia, David and I went to The Social today for lunch. This is becoming a regular Saturday afternoon haunt and tends to be rather fun. I always have a good chow and chat and eye up the hot metrosexual staff. Today, however, the girl who served us was in dire need of a personality. She was late with drinks, never offered desserts and cleared the table whilst I was still eating. I was surprised she never whisked the plate from under my nose mid-chew. Because of this surly behaviour she wasn't given a tip - I did feel like saying that her tip should be not to wipe her arse on a broken bottle.
We then met Stewart and wandered around town for a while. David and Julia were going to the flicks so Stewart and I headed to Revolver bar for a few drinks around a more mature clientele than the usual gay pubs we frequent. Glasgow isn't known for it's vast amount of gay bars and Delmonicas last night was nothing short of a lesbian love in. Revolver is a bar round the corner from Dels that caters mainly for guys who tend to be 25+ and are a tad rougher round the edges! Just my idea of fun. So the pub was jumping this arvo and we arrived slap bang in the middle of the weekly quiz. The talent was scrumdidilyumptious and it was a breath of fresh air to see all these hot guys getting worked up over the painfully obvious music section - Guessing the intro to Belinda Carlisle's I Get Weak was too easy. Stewart was delighted as I said we should go to Burly at the Arches in June. They have theme nights and men who look right up my alley (in taste that is, they don't look up me at all - yet). My neighbour Steven goes and says it's fab and although I don't have leather chaps or a gimp mask, the dress code isn't that strict so possibly my Diesel jeans and Dolce and Gabbana top will work in the Arches aswell - it's got buckles on the sleeves so hopefully that will do if there's a bondagey theme!
