A new reality TV show started tonight that is totally fucked up. It's been billed as the biggest hoax on British TV. Basically 9 people signed up for a thrillseeking show and discovered that they were to become Space Cadets alongside 3 actors, where they are transported to a Russian training camp and go into space as the first televised British space tourists. The looks of joy and excitement on their faces were priceless as the audience knows that actually they're flying about an hour away from London to a field in Suffolk that has been made to look like a remote part of Russia. There's a simulator as the cadets feel weightlessness as supposedly they will be in some sort of space and I've heard reports that the producers will have a picture of the earth at windows in the space station to help the cadets believe they're in space but actually they've never left the ground let alone the country.
It's all terribly wicked and the premise is hilarious, I watched the last twenty minutes and just laughed at the absurdity of it all, I've actually got a grin just now thinking about these people being ridiculed for my entertainment. I don't have a clue how the program is to work but a girl in work told me that when one of the cadets got off the plane (which was actually about 50 miles from her home) said "It's very cold in Russia" That's what makes it all rather genius and it helps that I can laugh at other people's misfortunes.
It all reminds me of another hoax reality show "There's Something About Miriam" It was set in Spain where 10 guys had to grab a hot woman's attention and seduced her until they were whittled down and had the opportunity to go on a romantic holiday themselves with Miriam. The guys had no clue that Miriam actually had a cock and was halfway through a sex change into a woman. The faces of the guys when they discovered the truth were priceless - I was just waiting for Miriam to whip her cock out and ask a guy to suck it but alas she just giggled and tried to hide her bulge!
