It seems like only 12 months ago that I sat here writing about my upcoming 26th birthday which would be accurate as it was my 27th birthday last Wednesday. It came and went like a ship in the night and was rather uneventful except for the fabulous dinner we all had. I left it to Miss Julia to organise the event which she did with the kind of military precision I practise when cleaning the flat. Dinner was at a cheeky Japanese fusion place that I'd never heard of, this may be because I'm not a fan of Japanese food at all but Julia assured me that they did killer cocktails aswell. The ensemble was made with ten of my nearest and dearest friends and from the word go, the night was great. I was surprised that the food was actually really nice and the drinks flowed freely with everyone having a great time with no animosity. We then went to the pub and then clubbing which was the biggest letdown as it was a bit blah. We were all a bit bagged up from all the rice and dessert and liquids so I had little energy to jig about and get pissed but the group of friends I was with were great fun. It just shows that the year has flown in and I'm one step closer to thirty. I'm almost if not already past my mid twenties and officially late twenties - get me my pension book and bus pass pronto!!
This Easter weekend, I worked in the pub and looked at cute boys and a friend, Rod, came up for the weekend so we all traipsed out on Saturday to have a drunken dance. Rod and I are very similar with our sense of humour and get on well, I was asking him about working in London which is something I'm looking into with my own work just now, he said London wasn't big enough for both of us but really it's probably because he's screwed his way round London all I'd get are his sloppy seconds!! I said I'd take the north of the Thames whilst he stayed on the South!! Lo and behold, today Julia sent me an email to say that she was booking up a trip to London in September to see the musical Wicked - so it's any old excuse for a knees up in the capital!
