LONDON CALLING...... HERE ARE THE RESULTS OF THE SCOTTISH JURY

Still recovering from a simply fucking brilliant time in London baby!! Was late for work this morning although wasn't too bothered as it was utterly fantastic. We all got slightly sloshed at the airport and at Heathrow waiting for Jon's flight to arrive so took the opportunity to spark up indoors and smoked a few fags in the pub. I still can't wait for the smoking ban to be introduced UK wide as it severly did my tits in and the smell of smoke clinging to my hair and clothes is vile. Anyway, Jon arrived and we all headed to London on the tube at rush hour which was soooooo not a good idea as being felt up by any random is normally fine but not on the underground at 5pm on a Friday night by a variety of different people who've not even bothered to get me hard is another thing entirely!

Julia had booked us a table at a restaurant in Covent Garden so had dinner there and the plan was for us to get sloshed again and head to G-A-Y which of course we did. Camp Attack at G-A-Y was mobbed as always with everyone shaking their shammy to Kylie and eighties tracks and everything in between. Saw some odd sights which is fairly normal in London but the best sight was the video of David in the spotlight bursting into dance and song completely pissed to Abba's Thank You For The Music.

Saturday was a fabulous day as we all went on the coldest bus journey possible around London on the open top bus. It was possibly the chilliest experience I've had in a long time but I did get to give Margaret Thatcher's house a wave and also to good old Lizzie at Buckingham Palace. We had tickets for Wicked on the Saturday night and I was pleased that the seats were so close to the front. We had all been peeing ourselves with excitement as Idina Menzel who played Elphaba on Broadway was reprising the role in London and we weren't disappointed. David said that she had a throat infection and hadn't been on during the week but was in fine form on Saturday night and I was enthralled from start to finish. Listening to the soundtrack for the past two years did the musical no justice. It was definitely the best show I'd ever seen on stage, production values were fantastic, the cast including Adam Garcia and especially Helen Dallimore as Gulinda played so well although it was Idina's show from start to finish. To hear and see Idina Menzel sing Defying Gravity live on stage has been a highlight to end all highlights and I'd love to go back again.

After the high of Wicked, we stood in a queue to see our friend Rod at a club called Ghetto for an hour before finally getting in. I had no idea why we were queuing for so long as yes it was busy but they could've picked up the pace a bit! The club is a bit of a dive and it was cheesy pop all the way and a sweaty way we went. Met some of Rod's friends who were just lovely and the poppers helped loosen me and my ass a bit. Of all the bars in the world I also bumped into a guy we've known for years in Glasgow so spent a fair bit of the night blethering to him! On Sunday, we also bumped into Nicole Kidman on Leicester Square who looked like she'd been in a fire her face was so pulled. I think if someone had told her that her husband had died, her expression wouldn't have changed. I'm still not sure if that was a Stepford wife on display or Nicole Kidman with a bit of work done! Sunday night we tripped over to Earls Court where all the rent boys stay apparently to see George Michael in concert. That sexy old pervert has a rare set of lungs on him and he whipped the crowd into a frenzy with all his greatest hits and some good old Wham songs. I did have doubts about his dancing ability and his dress sense but my God he's a sexy bitch and if I saw him draped over the wheel of his car on a roundabout i'd still suck him off.

After George, we headed back into Soho and danced at G-A-Y Late which was members only on Sunday nights and looked like the kind of bar that would really only be found in Blackpool with it's ceiling lights and purple walls but hey it worked and we all danced away like crazy. We must've danced our asses off so much as David and I were late for our flight home and coughed up a small fortune to get a flight home yesterday. David put in perspective by saying that we could've hired an escort for the night and at least had some fun rather than sitting in a business lounge eating free chocolate and drinking the free booze. I had to agree but it still didn't put a dampener on my weekend and I can't wait for the New Year when I head back!
