DIRT

I had planned a huge fantabulous post full of witty one liners and choice remarks from Bad Girls and Footballers Wives. Instead, however, I've become ever so slightly hooked on cocks - or should I say Cox - as in Courteney Cox and her new TV show "Dirt"

Dirt centres around Miss Courteney Loves Cox who plays tabloid magazine editor Lucy Spiller who works at Drrt and sister magazine Now. She is hated by all of Hollywood but feels that they need her - she's supplying a service.

She's ruthless, cunning, stylish, cutthroat and endearing - kind of like a classier version of Gale Weathers, the memorable character she played in the Scream movies.

Lucy stops at nothing to get a story or manipulating Hollywood royalty to get a scoop - now she may sound like a heartless bitch - but there's more to her. Her care for schizophrenic paparazzi photographer Don is admirable and at the end of the first episode we see the real Lucy who doesn't use a stun gun on her man for the night!

It shows real promise and I'm thrilled that another show other than Ugly Betty has gripped me - I like trash and flash and this has plenty of it.

I think we could all be doing with a bit more Dirt.
