QUIET WEEKEND IN

Well my blogging that went so well recently has gone tits up - thanks mainly to the drunken debauchery of the weekend for our annual trip to Manchester Pride. It was totally jumping all weekend and certainly expensive - queues were long but a great atmosphere helped and the 6 of us who were there had a major time! I arrived back today with my dignity intact but my liver fairly shot. Too much vodka and redbull has given me restless nights sleep for the past 3 nights! On top of 2 fire alarm evacuations from the hotel. When the second one happened, I just rolled over and carried on sleeping - I knew that some idiot had set it off and slept through it! Sure enough, there was a note through the door this morning saying that there was no fire at all. The last time we stayed at the hotel, the exact same thing happened - tales of too much booze will bore you but needless to say there was plenty of it. And I got to see Belinda Carlisle sing on Friday night - I love "I Get Weak" and she did pull it off though she mimed through one or two others. The main stage went loopy last night for The Gossip - big fat Beth Ditto went even loopier and played a blinder and did I mention that we all drank a lot????
