I was voted Biggest Gossip 2 years running at high school and am somewhat known as The Daily Bugle although nowadays that's completely unfounded. I am in the middle of watching the first episode of Gossip Girl.
I've been tres tres good by not downloading it and am wanting to watch it as it happens on screen but so far so good. I'm impressed by the stunning cast, the seductive glamour of the NYC setting. It's all very Cruel Intentions circa 2008. The cast have names like Serena Van Der Flugen Jugen or Blair Waldorf Astoria Towers and the men just kiss people and pout a lot. I've yet to see people smile and it's all so addictive.
What's delighted me is that Kelly Rutherford from Melrose Place who was Megan the hooker is an Upper East Side mother. There are power struggles, online blogging, new kids in town, hot dads, designer gowns, drugs, sex, underage drinking and more plot twists than a bad episode of The Colbys.
It's officially even more nonsense to watch!
