CHEBS AND GOSS

I was on the bus today - I know it's vile but fuck it - a bit of PT never hurt anyone - until today. I had a good day at work and was heading home to get ready for the gym when some woman got on the bus. Now I sat in a single seat and she held up the queue as she got her 2 toddler children on and her infant in a buggy. Now the children also had 2 small bikes which were carted on. Then one of them started screaming when she sat down. I was trying to listen to the menthol cool stylings of Dannii Minogue disco diva so was none too pleased at this outburst.

The rest of the journey seemed fine as the mother spoke to some old women heading for the bingo and she got her infant out the buggy and onto her lap. She bounced the child quite happily and then just out of nowhere she gave the old women a knowing smile and hitche dup her top and proceeded to breast feed her child in full view of the rest of the bus - her big sweaty chebs were available for all to see.

Now I have a few issues around this :-
1. I hate people with families getting on the bus at peak times. This woman had all day to take her children out so why did she have to take up 5 spaces on a busy bus.

2. There were older people on the bus who could have benefitted from a seat nearer the front but this ignorant woman didn't even bother.

3. She had an annoying accent and bad socks

4. I find it inappropriate for women to breastfeed in public. I don't piss on the bus and don't think it should be done with women breastfeeding.

5. This woman had no shame as her full tit was on show.

So rant over, I have some great news - I just watched the premiere episode of Gossip Girl Season 2 which aired on Monday night in the US. It was absolutely fabulous and glamorous and everything I've come to expect from this great show.

The shows were great, the guys were hot, the girls had perfect hair and skin and......... One of my favourite TV stars Madchen Amick has a recurring role in the show. Madchen originally came to fame in Twin Peaks where she played the waitress Shelly but my lasting memory of Madchen is as Carrie Fairchild in Darren Star's show Central Park West in the mid 90s. She had a fab apartment, ripped relationships apart and was a bitch on wheels. Now she plays "cougar" Catherine. The older rich bitch who is seducing Nate played by the stunning and allegedly queerbait Chace Crawford. I'm jealous but Madchen looked fabulous and played the part so well.

And ps - those Gossip Girl boys are hot mchott - snaps to the costume designer for Ed Westwick's dashing outfit at The White Party - it was totally fetch.
And who knew I'd be using words from Mean Girls that was out 4 years ago - I'm getting so out of touch and so not fetch!

Re: your bus ride story, I'm in agreement with most of your points but I don't have a problem with breast feeding per se. One of my friends does it. Okay, it's slightly weird but natural. Whereas pissing on a bus is surely genuinely disgusting, Caress darling.

The guy in the white suit looks ever so slightly...faggy...

Oh my bloody word - first Megan the hooker from Melrose and now... Madchen freakin' "Carrie from CPW" Amick! I gotta start watching that show!

'Chebs' is one of my favourite Scottish words. I never know when to look when confronted by a breastfeeding mother but I'm not sure it's as bad as pissing on the bus. Perhaps if she'd been holding her boob aloft and squirting the milk from across the bus at fellow passengers, then I would probably object.

Oh God I meant 'where' to look not 'when' to look. Freudian slip!
