WHEN I'M GOOD AND READY

Had a very relaxing weekend so far. All in preparation for starting my new job on Monday which should be interesting. The training's for 2 weeks in East Kilbride (for those of you unsure, it's kinda similar to The Black Hole Of Calcutta - ie a dead end. Fortunately my branch is city centre based which should be fabulous to a certain extent because how much fun is it really to be a banker?!

Went to a wedding on Friday with Mabel and some people from my old work. A girl I knew had been in the smoke room one day when a guy asked if she had a cigarette, she in turn asked for a light. 2 years later they were exchanging fags, lighters and wedding vows. To say the wedding was tacky would be like saying that Hitler was a naughty boy. Any wedding where the couple's first dance was to David Gray's 'Babylon' has to go. Things went downhill rapidly as the karaoke started with all the usual suspects being played to near death. Naturally the only sensible thing to do was to kick up my heels and wrap my lips round the half bottle of vodka I smuggled in via an empty bottle of evian and get sloshed.

Mabel and I made a sharp exit and headed to a sweaty steamy night at the Polo. A few months ago I mentioned that I saw a guy who was gorgeous - well I saw him again last night and he looked even hotter - however maybe I was sober or maybe I was shy but I just couldn't approach him - it's always the same if I fancy them, impossible to chat to but if I don't find them that attractive I can talk till the cows come home! I'll keep you posted on any progress which I'd love to see. Some of my mates have been wondering when the next instalment of my Top 100 Fabulous TV Scenes will be published and I had to tell them it will be on when I'm good and and ready - just like the Sybill song!

Cam and David came round for a chill out night and we watched the uber fabulous Average Joe Hawaii which is just too funny for words (there's a contestant called Phuk, pronounced Fook who couldn't swim. They had a swimming contest which led to David to quip that 'Fat Fook's Fucked') and then Sharon Osbourne ruling the roost in X Factor. Then after takeaway dinner we watched the excellent kick ass Uma in Kill Bill Vol 2. I may now have square eyes from all this TV watching but sometimes it's good to have a girls night of TV and chat.

I'm currently getting stuck into another Jackie Collins book from the Santangelo series which I held off reading but am loving so much just now. Lady Boss sees heroine Lucky trying to buy a Hollywood Studio. All glamour big hair and bonking. I only wish my life had more bonking - esp with that guy from the Polo. He's got the most amazing bone structure and I'd love to see more of his bone. We can live in hope!
