THE CUNT

Do you remember that part of 'Broken Hearts Club' where Timothy Olyphant's character thinks of leaving town but stays because he has one of those nights out with his friends that makes him change his mind. Well I've had two this week. I had a cheeky wee night out on Wednesday at the Tunnel with Jon, Stewart, David and Cameron and got royally guttered. I know, I know, it's a school night but it was fabulous. I also met some of my old friends that I used to kick around with and realised that if I had stayed with them I would've ended up a drug fuck without a penny. One of them was trying to look heroin chic but he actually just looked heroin and soooo not chic. Then last night, Jon and I went out and met up with Cam later, I bumped into my old best friend, Amanda. She was my closest friend for a few years when I first came out and we went out all the time. Sadly, Amanda was a cunt. She told her girlfriend all the time that I pestered her to go out whereas in reality I would say i was staying in and lo and behold at 10.30pm my doorbell would ring with Amanda at the front door carrying a bottle of wine or vodka. We lost touch thanks to me deciding that Amanda and I weren't destined to be chummy after having her borrowing money from me like it grew on trees and having me taxi her about. I think I sometimes have a rather passive side to my personality. Well last night we were chatty and she did the whole 'I would love to have you round for dinner' and 'Keep in touch' I realised that it's nice to see theses people from my past and without them I wouldn't be where I am just now but it's also nice to know that I've started a new chapter in my life.

I'm soooo excited about going away in a fortnight. There was a holiday show that featured my New York hotel and I'm getting hyped up. I am itching to jump in a yellow cab, go for Sunday brunch with Cam, Jon and David and walk down 5th Avenue and basically take it all in. I went to New York in 1997 with my folks and found it overwhelming. Now I want to take a massive bite out of the Big Apple. San Francisco will be a blast, I'm in training just now by re-reading Tales of the City. Although it's set in the 1970's, it should be amazing not least because I've heard there's a sauna called Blow Buddies!!!!

Joan Collins is presenting a show called 'The 50 Wickedest Women in Primetime" I hope that she's No.1 with Heather Locklear as No.2. It's trash TV at it's best.
