To remind myself of my holiday I finally managed to download the Stevie Wonder mix of Alicia Keys' Karma. This track played a lot in San Francisco in Badlands where we danced even more. It must be Karmastitious or something but those are movies I HAVE to buy. I've been waiting for years to watch Joan in 'The Damned Don't Cry' just to see the size of her eyebrows! The tagline of the movie has an angry looking Joan shouting 'Call me CHEAP?' It's a classic potboiler of Joan playing a gangster's moll called Ethel and her typical rags to riches and suffering in mink theme - Fabulous. The Bette Davis collection includes the movie 'The Star' which is apparently based a lot on Joan Crawford. It was written by 2 ex-friend's of Joan. After Joan heard about what her friend's were writing about, she arranged for their daughter to be married in her house to a man that the writers hated and didn't even invite them to their own daughter's wedding. Joanie was a bad bitch but that's why I love her!!
