To cope with my dark days following the most fantabulous holiday ever, I've alleviated the pain slightly by booking the hotel for my upcoming London jaunt. In 2 and a half weeks I go to Manchester for the weekend. We always go at this time as it's the weekend between Jon's birthday and my own. I love Manchester, it's good to get away for a weekend now and again and I try and head down a few times a year and the social scene is excellent - last time, it was The Teddy Bears Picnic where all the Bear men meet and have a wild time at local bear bar, Legends. Cam and I were totally sozzled and were coming into the hotel when these two bears stopped the lift covered in foam. We naturally got talking to them and they explained there were Bears, Otters and Chasers. All very enlightening!
Less than a fortnight after Manchester I fly to London for a night of Kylie Minogue (again!!!) and then two nights hitting the tiles of the capital. London's great although you need to have your shoulderpads on. Joan Collins once said shoulderpads were more flattering than an Italian waiter - well her Italian waiter had never been to Soho on a Saturday night. The people themselves are a tad rude and you need your shoulderpads so you can barge past just like they do. Last time I was sure that people had the whole pavement to walk past but still managed to bump and jostle me along the road - ignorant swines! However, by the end of the last weekend in London I was rugby tackling passers-by with the confidence of the entire Dieux du Stade team.
I'm still pining for NYC - is this natural? I imagine the people who live there find it so passe but I've never been to such a magical place that felt like I truly could live there. David said he felt that way after his holiday in Gran Canaria, he wanted to move over there and become a drag queen. I'd settle for an investment banker who stays in Chelsea with a summer house in the Hamptons and a cabin at Fire Island. I'd also like to wake up in the morning and be able to sing like Aretha Franklin. Never gonna happen!

I love London. My company is based there, so it's nice to cross the pond every once in a while. Unfortunately, due to the NYC economy, I haven't had a business trip in about a year to London.
And I never get bored with NYC. Like anyone, I can get tired of certain aspects, but it always changes and becomes something new.
Hi!
I'm a big fan of your blog, be sure to let me know when you're coming to London!
A bear is a heavier kinda hairy man
A chaser is a guy who likes bears or otters
An otter is a thin bear
