As Kylie Minogue is operated on this week for breast cancer, Tori Amos paid a very special tribute from a concert in Australia on Wednesday night. I've never been a fan of Tori except the bog standard Professional Widow which is a classic track - the rest of her catalogue I've never been interested in. On Wednesday, some sly bastard was making an mp3 of her concert Down Under when Tori gave a rendition of Kylie's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' and to call it haunting and fabulous would be an understatement - I had goosebumps!! She translated a fabulous piece of pop perfection and twisted it into an ethereal tribute to 'another sista' She said before singing it that she thought it was important to do it that night and in the right spirit. This made me weep, not only to the crowd's reaction but to the version itself which was utterly amazing.
