Well I spent the vast majority of Saturday watching Live 8. I was desperate to see Madonna, Mariah and the Scissor Sisters. Madonna rocked Hyde Park as did Scissor Sisters, they always sound better live than their album which in itself is fabulous. Mariah was forever the diva and introduced "Llama, she does massage, everyone knows her, right?" Llama ran on when Mariah wanted a sip of water between her 3 song set which was thoroughly divalicious. She even herded on the African Childrens Choir during 'Hero' and 'Make It Happen'. I loved it at the finale when she again dragged them all onstage and Paul McCartney whispered something to her during his rather commonplace anthem Hey Jude, Mariah then took hold of that microphone from the poor African orphan and began belting out her own diva style, hand shaking, big breasted version of Hey Jude - AND all this whilst edging more and more to centre stage where acts like The Who and Pink Floyd hung about in the background like leching pensioners which they are. Since the show, I've been downloading Mariah singing live and she's the one artist where sometimes you can't tell when she's singing or miming, she's that talented. Many people think of her as a bit of a non entity what with her loony phase, her high whispering songs and the massive canyon between her breasts but that's all part of what makes her utterly fabulous and I don't care what anyone says, Glitter is a fabulous movie - sort of - well not really but it does have 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life' which perks things up, just like her breasts.
PS - Another highlight was Annie Lennox who simply gets better with age - a real star. Now, I'm not one to go on a rant but Bono from U2 was a sausage jockey, he's just a tad too political for my liking and his eyes look evil and don't get me started on the great unwashed tramp hobo beggar, Bob Geldof. What pissed me off more than his incessant matted hair and huge ego was that The Spice Girls didn't reunite for the concert. Where's the justice?!
I managed during the day on Saturday to meet up with my old friend Karen and we had a natter in Royal Exhange Square, sipping cocktails and eating lunch. She mentioned she went to see a psychic at an open evening who was a bit OTT. She ventured to Karen's table as a spirit had come through for a person at her table. She sat next to a woman and moaned a lot, clutching her neck, practically strangling herself, saying she had a terrible pain throughout her neck. A woman broke down at the table and said that it was her daughter that had come through from the spirit world - her daughter was beheaded in a car accident. So naturally I'm going on a waiting list to get a private reading with this crazy bitch!

I love, love, love. Mariah. I think the fact that she went through such a public breakdown( has anyone seen the MTV "strip tease")and still have the guts to show face!! It shows strength of chracter, and I love that!! Also a lot of girls don't like her because she's all tit's and legs. If looked like her, had her money, i'd be all tit's and legs! Any way, I love love love Mariah. xcx
