This is a picture of possibly one of the best characters on TV. Evil Natalie Buxton in Bad Girls shifted off her mortal coil on Thursday in a bitter fight with rival Pat Kerrigan. Natalie has been the nastiest piece of work to ever appear on TV and has been fabulous to watch. She's hissed her way through 3 years of terror and the only way for her to go was with a bang or a brick to the head as happened to her! Like Chrissie Watts in Eastenders who got her comeuppance, I would have preferred for her to get away in the bin bags like she wanted to.
Natalie's bashed most of the inmates around and really has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. She's always looked eternally glamorous which makes her much more devious, the good news is that Natalie is back for a few more episodes as her own corpse is shifted around the prison before Pat decides to dismember the body and stick it down the pipes of the prison. She also turns up as a ghost in the Christmas special showing Sylvia Hollamby the error of her ways!! Whoever said Bad Girls was a gritty realistic drama was soooo wrong!
Natalie bashed up Al, got slapped from the governor, had a lesbian tryst with Kris Yates, intimidated Tanya Turner, got her hand caught in a machine, manipulated all the inmates into believing she was innocent, threatened the Costa Cons, bashed Darlene Cake, became top dog, bashed Arun, stabbed Janine in the eye with a needle, bashed a nun, had sex with prison officer Fenner, bashed about with Pat Kerrigan who beat her, tried to escape, sprayed Mace on officer Spiers, had dirty sex with Spiers, was exposed as a nonce, started a riot, dealt in drugs, bashed Julie, tried to escape and had a fight with Pat which ended with a brick to her head.
It's a shame she's gone, Bad Girls will be a boring place without her. Although we still have the Costa Cons to keep us entertained but none with the nastiness of Natalie!
