I've spent a good bit of the weekend watching Agatha Christie dramatizations. It's been Agatha Christie Weekend on one of the cable channels so seeing documentaries about Poirot, Miss Marple and their supporting casts. Some shows have dissected Christie's writing style, others have dissected Christie herself.
It's been great and campy and dramatic, a whole slew of stars have protrayed Christie's characters, Peter Ustinov, Albert Finney, Geraldine McEwan have all taken on board Marple and Poirot. The recent Marple adaptations have been fabulous to see. Who doesn't want to see Amanda Holden running about a mausoleum looking for a dead body or Jane Asher with a big hat?!
