FERGALICIOUS

The past two nights I've been inspired and fallen slightly in love with Fergie. Not the rap singer or the Manchester United Manager but Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.

She's been in a TV show, helping a poor family in Hull, Northern England to live healthier and eat healthier on a budget. The family is on a real breadline and Fergie with all her royalness headed in without a real agenda other than to help these people and not lecture them.

We saw Fergie at home with her trainer, opening up to the cameras about her fears and insecurities, we saw her with her daughters who are so proud of their mother and also spending real quality time with this family. She asked for promises on what they thought they could achieve and I have to say, it worked - she didn't wave a magic wand and got in specialists but instead looked around at what the government and councils had on offer for any family in the UK including discounted gym membership and healthy eating classes. It was a revelation.

Fergie's long been my favourite royal although she isn't actually a royal since she divorced Prince Andrew but she kind of is. I read a book recently that said the Queen still has a real fondness for Sarah and Fergie has the utmost respect for the Royal family. All in all it was totally Fergalicious and I want to see what she's going to tackle next.

I saw a bit of it. She is looking good these days and nice to see her being (relatively) down to earth for a royal.
