I speak about my gym quite regularly when I go and I've decided to take the bulls by the horns and go more often. This has resulted in meeting some people and as I've gotten older and somewhat wiser I've found this easier.
There are some gays that go to the gym whom I talk to a fair bit. But little did I know, there's a gym clique. Who knew??? It's like gay fit Mean-ish Girls.
So there are a few gays who go to the same classes as me and are totally lovely. I've met them out over the past few months and then again at the gym and their conversation is good. I actually fancy most of them as they're all rather hot and get a buzz from working out. Even the head bitch one is lovely. He doesn't talk to me and wears a wee vest and running shorts at the workout and walks past me. I met him on Saturday and bit the bullet and said hi and he said hi. Then tonight at class, he totally walked past me. His friends, part of the other gays - are super nice and friendly and fill out their gym outfits well. On Saturday they were out and one of them totally fancies my mate Jon. Maybe that's why he's so chatty at the gym!!?? Honestly, though - it does make gym more enjoyable when you can talk to people and make small talk - the guys who chat, Stephen and Gary are so friendly that even my chatty side can't help but come out!
But head bitch has the big attitude and other than trip him up at step class, I'm fucked if I know what to do. I'm 29 and I have to say, I do find it difficult to make friends as I can be quite icy but this guy totally froze me out. If we were on Ricki Lake, he would have slapped his lips and pulled on my weave. There is one up side - last week, in the locker room I did see that he had a hairless body and a bit of a mohican growing between his ass cheeks - someone out to tell Ice Ice Baby to get the clippers out - if we were in Aruba, I could bead his butt!

You seem a nice guy, but why are you getting hung up on wanting to be liked by these people? If someone freezes you out then it's no big deal, just focus your attention on the ones that are sociable and give you the time of day.
It sounds like your self-esteem takes a beating if you can't get the whole gym class to smile at you. It's not the end of the world, there are always going to be ice queens at the gym, in the shop, at the disco, in the bar.
What makes him the queen bee? Is his icy, inconsistent nice one day and ignorant the next something to aspire towards? I'd stick with the real people who have learned some manners.
No-one wants a bitch as a best mate. It sounds like you have enough friends in your life.
