I'm a tad obsessed at this time of year. X Factor is on TV and the live shows started last night. In the recorded episodes this year, my favourite judge, the irrepressible Dannii Minogue has been more than overshadowed by the younger and possibly fiestier Cheryl Cole. Clever editing showed Cheryl all the time sparring with Simon and in some auditions wasn't even present as she did double duty as a judge on Australia's Got Talent. Cheryl has been the tabloid fodder with Dannii becoming almost shelved.
Well last night, Miss Trannii (I mean Dannii) Minogue showed why she's so good. I know you can't really tell if she means anything she says as the botox has frozen her face so much but god she's good and poor Cheryl paled in comparison. The judges arrived on screen with Cheryl wearing a leopard print top and black trousers whereas Dannii wowed in a killer crazy blue number with shoulder pads and all kinds of detail. Her hair and botox had been refreshed and she was ready for action.
She was on the ball hurling insults at Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh and very outspoken which was great to see. Then when last years winner, Leon Jackson came on, Trannii (I mean Dannii) couldn't have been prouder. Her Transatlantic accent is fabulous and I fell in love with Trannii (I mean Dannii) just a little bit more.
To top it all off, the duet that Kylie and Trannii (I mean Dannii) had done for the hilarious TV show, Beautiful People leaked on the internet. I have only ever heard a few tracks camper than their rendition of "The Winner Takes It All" and these sisters recorded them!
Long live Trannii (I mean Dannii!!)
