SORE TIMES AT THE GYM IN DISCO HIGH

I'm in a wee bit of pain as I write. I went to the dentist today to get a filling (no tacky jokes please) and the bitch injected me twice, once was enough but then she asked me to turn my head and injected me actually in the cheek. I actually moaned it was sore. Now I'm fine with needles when going to the dentist but I'm not so great with anaesthetic and for a few minutes I felt sick. I rallied and let her do her stuff. After a while I was let out of that prison and this afternoon whilst till numb, I entered my latest personal training session. They are going really well and I definitely am feeling the benefits. He totally killed me today, we did clean and presses, shuttle runs, pressups, throwing medicine balls, dynamic lunges, lunges with weights and to finish some boxing. Yes - boxing. I was sweating my tits off and wasn't 100% after my anaesthetic. I said I didn't feel that fit but we kept on going. I actually was really tired but toward the end I got into and enjoyed it. I am stepping up the sessions before I go to London next week so I am in tip top shape. I persuaded Rod when he was up at the weekend that we go and see A Little Night Music. I hope it's good, the reviews are excellent and it's opening night when we go. This is on top of Priscilla Queen of The Desert which should be a blast!

I have had Alcazar's new album on repeat all week - I can't get enough and every few days my favourite song is changing - definitely the sign of a good album. It's like a disco in my flat just now with all the dancing I've been doing. All I need is a handbag and some lipstick and I'm good to go!

Today I was pleased to get "Barbra - The Concerts" on DVD. It was David's birthday on Monday so we all went for a fabulous dinner to Julia's. All the gays and Julia had the biggest laugh - it was just what I was needing. After dinner, we sat around blethering and noticed the ad for Barbra's new DVD. It has her most recent tour in 2006, another tour in 1994 and The Making of The Broadway Album. 3 DVDs of La Streisand was too much to resist and Amazon had it at a knock down price so today between the pain, I experienced that silky dame called Barbra schlepping her Streisand ass round a stage. She is well pulled and although I think she's quite rehearsed with her adlibbing and her costumes in both tours are nothing short of horrendous, the voice is unmistakably amazing. Barbra has proven that you don't need stunning looks to be successful. She does have a great stage presence although when she brought on her fucking dog I felt like Kathy Griffin did when she saw Barbra do her Oprah appearance "Jesus Barbra, we can't relate" This feeling dissipated entirely when I saw her kick up her heels and do a version of "Stoney End" Flawless.

Listening to = Barbra Streisand - The Way We Were (Live In Concert 2006)

Do you know where I can get hold of Alcazar's new album, Caress? I've looked on the net and can't find it - I'm thinking they've not released it over here yet?
