FOUR FINGERED SHUFFLE

I saw this on another blog and it's been ages since I've done anything like this so here it comes again,

4 MOVIES YOU OWN THAT NONE OF YOUR FRIENDS OWN
DIE MOMMIE DIE - Charles Busch channels the spirit of Joan Crawford, Lana Turner and Bette Davis in a dark draggy comedy as Angela Arden who hides a desperate secret and loves a hot pool boy like Jason Priestley who's hung like a jury.

WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH HELEN? - Shelley Winters and Debbie Reynolds play mothers to murderous children, they escape to a new life after their children are imprisoned. Shelley goes nuts as you do, cuts rabbits to shreds, looks freakier and more psychotic like her son in every scene and Debbie Reynolds taps her way around as the new town bike.

SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER - Liz Taylor, Kate Hepburn and Montgomery Clift in a camper than camp movie which sees Liz going crazy Shelley Winters style as her dear Aunt Violet (Hepburn) tries to get Clift to give Liz a lobotomy as Liz knew why Violet's son Sebastien died suddenly, last summer. It involves, evil nuns, homeless cannibals, a rainforest jungle and bad medical conditions. And Katharine Hepburn sounding like Donald Duck

MULHOLLAND DRIVE - Naomi Watts and Laura Harring play a movie within a movie within a movie. David Lynch is more fucked up than in Twin Peaks and it took a few viewings to even start to understand it. Some of it is just odd but the first scene is wonderful!

4 BOOKS YOU OWN THAT NONE OF YOUR FRIENDS OWN
HOLLYWOOD WIVES (The New Generation) - Jackie Collins. Always good for some strong female nonsense on holidays and some odd names of characters
BETTE DAVIS SPEAKS - Boze Hadleigh. Bette dishes the dirt like "There may be a heaven but if Joan Crawford's there, I'm not going" Priceless
MAPP & LUCIA - EF Benson. Actually any of the Lucia books would do but this is one of the best. Perfect reading, shame there are only 6 Lucia books
THE SCANDALOUS SUMMER OF SISSY LEBLANC - Loraine Depres. Think the TV show Savannah with poorer people and one woman's struggles to be a southern belle and a slut

4 ALBUMS YOU OWN THAT NONE OF YOUR FRIENDS OWN
HAZELL DEAN GREATEST HITS - They wish they had "Who's Leaving Who"
DREAMGIRLS ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST - Jennifer Holliday belts out for One Night Only
MEGAN MULLALLY: BIG AS A BERRY - Fancy and Freddy My Love are the standouts
THE SUPREMES ANTHOLOGY - A big 4 disc set I got from Miss Julia for Xmas one year. Like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way.
