The weekend was all just a blur of drinking and not working which was fantastic. Friday night we headed to Julia's for dinner and of course, copious amounts of Pinot Grigio. Every time I go to Julia's I end up pissed as arseholes and Friday was no exception, dinner was late and we watched a bit of Comic Relief and it wasn't all about giving Ken Dodd a wank - there were babies dying and suffering and it really was quite torturous viewing so didn't bode well for a night out partying.
It was all because David is leaving Glasgow for the sunny beaches of Brighton to be a trolley dolly, no longer will he be trawling Glasgow for dirty dick but rather be trawling Brighton pierfront for some fresher air and hard cocks, last night a load of us were at Deborah's for a buffet dinner and drinks and it was all a bit emotional. The music was good and the chat was great although it didn't feel like the end at all. David's going on this fantastic journey and it's an excellent excuse to head down there and visit and sample the delights of Brighton myself. I've never been but I'm sure it's fabulous and more so now that David will be there. I have a date at the end of April pencilled in already!!

You've never been to Brighton?! Girlfriend, you haven't lived! Get your a*se down there pronto.
You'd really like it. I lived there for six years before coming to London. Went to Sussex University and then decided I liked it so much I wanted to stay! As I'm sure you know already there's an excellent gay scene, mainly concentrated in an area called Kemp Town - or Camp Town as the residents refer to it...There's also loads of great shops and a very groovy area called the North Laines with loads of great clothes shops, cafes and bars...The Palace Pier is fun in a tacky kind of way...The Pavillion is a camp delight...And there's the beach too!
And, erm...if you're a fan of gay sex (which I somehow suspect you are) the seafront and the "Bushes" (area at the far end of the Kemp Town)are the...top tourist attractions!! (Not that I ever went there or anything, I just know by repute).
So there you go - Brighton in a nutshell! I'd make a good holiday rep wouldn't I?
You know something, I don't know why I left.
Oh, and Brighton Gay Pride (at the start of August)is also pretty damn good too. Much nicer than the London one. You have room to breathe!
